Let's talk MJ and Farrah.

I know it's been at least two weeks since the tragic and unexpected death of "The King of Pop", Michael Jackson, and expected, but just as equally tragic death of Farrah Fawcett.

Why is my little town still in mourning, then? How many people from my town met Michael Jackson? As we passed our local Wendy's, a message on the board outside the restraunt caught my eye:

"Goodbye, Michael."

As soon as I had seen it, I was in shock. Truly, Michael Jackson was a wonderful entertainer, but as a person?

Yeah...

The same day of MJ and Farrah's deaths, my good friend Mike's cousin was killed over seas fighting for our country.

How much coverage did this FEARLESS HERO get?!

Nothing.

Not.

One.

Thing.

Still, our country is mourning the deaths of two entertainers. Yes, they were entertaining. Yes, they will be missed. But what about the man that died for you? Why aren't we mourning him? The man laid his life down for his country, so selfless. How many of us are willing to do that?

Don't mourn the entertainers, mourn the hero.

Forgive them, Father. They know not what they do!

Today, I signed on facebook and saw that my good friend Christy had written on my wall. This is what she said.

Hey Katie!
If you guys have time, could you guys please pray for Reparition to Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, because this one proffesor abused the Eucharist... A friend told me that this is what he did; "First, he punctured the Host with a rusty nail, then proceeded to throw Him in the garbage. Then he put coffee grounds and banana peels and some other garbage on top of the Host, and then he put a few pages of the Koran and a few pages from Richard Dawkins' God Delusion in as well. Apparently, there are pictures posted on his blog proving that he has done it. Ironically, he also said that religious instruction is a greater evil than what he has done, because it creates ignorant and hateful people. "

It is so devastating, so if you could pray for his soul in atonement for this devastating sin... It is so heartbreaking :( So if you could find some time in your busy day to say at least a quick prayer, that would be awesome.

Please pray for this man and for his soul. Pray that God and Jesus will reveal themselves to him and he will see the error of his ways.
